POST 2 >> THE BEST HOLIDAYS / CONCERT EVER
In my life, i’ve only attended to three concerts, but if i have to choose
one, i’d definitely choose Radiohead, that concert was this year on
April 11th.
Radiohead is an english alternative
rock band composed by Thom Yorke (vocals, piano, rhythm guitar), the Greenwood
brothers (Colin (bass guitar) and Jonny (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments)),
Ed O’Brien (solo and rhythm guitar, vocals, percussion) and Phil Selway (drums
and percussion).
Their music style has changed
over the years and through their albums, from Pablo Honey (1993) and The Bends (1995) (a combination between melancholic
acoustic guitar songs and powerful electric guitar riffs).
Ok Computer (1997), as a mixture of their original
sound, but including synthesizers, electronic music small elements and string
quartet sounds in some of their compositions.
Since Kid A (2000) the band has had
a remarkable influence from another music styles, and it can be noticed in
electronic samples, or computer generated sounds, that blended perfectly with Radiohead
signature style.
The concert was really special for me, because i had to wait nine years to
see them play live for the first time. The atmosphere of the show was extremely
special too, truly palpable at the beginning of every song. There was a calm
settled in, some kind of expectation of what would come next.
A habit that i’ve adopted it’s that i like to guess what song will be
played only by hearing the first notes (i have to admit that i only do that
because i’m a amateur musician and i trust my musical ear).
Also, i have to say that i’ve enjoyed the show in great company (3 friends
from university, Jani, Esteban and Sergio)
The funny story of the concert was, that Sergio wanted
that they play the song The Bends, he
asked for it repeatedly during the concert, and it was a really hilarious but
surprising coincidence, that they played that song later, and when that happened
we -literally-explode ourselves with joy and laughter hahah.

ResponderEliminarFor me, it doesn't interesting see Radiohead in a concert, but I respect you so much and also your tastes and opinions. You're a music mixer master. Slan.
